That's when the tone of this story takes a dramatic shift to the comedic.Ĭitadel includes a few sneaking portions that help break up the action. The memories come when you're back at your fancy, new apartment planning for one massive party with the entire crew. The combat is just a vehicle to get the band back together and reconnect atop the corpses of your enemies. The quest to stop these anti-Shepard militants is both challenging and humorous, with a surprise twist straight out of a cheesy sci-fi movie, but that won't be what you remember from this DLC. Soon you find yourself fighting side by side by side with your entire team in unison, all of whom are hurling insults and exchanging friendly banter among the carnage. After the corporation makes an assassination attempt on Shepard, friends from past and present Mass Effect games descend upon it. It employs a few new tricks, such as shield-detonating kamikaze drones and cluster grenades, but mostly it just gets mocked-mercilessly-by you and your squadmates. This new threat is a private military corporation that is, frankly, a less-capable version of Cerberus. Once that is resolved, the second half is strictly person-to-person (or person-to-alien) interactions. The first half deals with Shepard overcoming a dangerous new threat while on shore leave. In fact, you could almost draw a line down the center of this release.
#Mass effect 3 citadel dlc meetups update
Same with Garrus at the bar. That's not to say this hefty, four-gigabyte update won't offer plenty of combat.

Usually I can just go to the end of the Silversun Strip and trigger his meet-up. I do not always get emails for Javik's meet-up. I find these are the last two you can do. Note that you have to meet up with a bunch of other people first. Kasumi's meet-up in the Citadel DLC never has an email you have to go to the Silversun Casino and then go look at the suspicious device.įor Joker and Wrex, you just have to go to the Silversun Casino, to the bar on the second floor, and you should see a "wait for Joker/Wrex" prompt. I still need to know if there's a way to get all emails/triggers without missing anything, for the next time around. Some were never available to me, like the one with Joker. Some encounters are triggered, some are not. Not only quests and side quests, but all dialogues and encounters too, prior to starting Horizon. Thanks, RedCaesar97, but as I said in my original post, everything was out of they way. I never triggered all of them in any of the two playthroughs, and I don't know why.ĭoes anyone know what one has to do in order to have all of the encounters every time we play (or replay) the DLC ? I'm thinking that I should have postponed buying the party items at the bar, but I'm not sure it was that. So I watched a YouTube video yesterday where I saw all encounters in the apartment and at the Silversun Strip. (know that I completed all quests and side quests, even before Horizon, in both playthroughs, which means the mission for the ex-cerberus scientists with Jacob was out of the way too). The second time around, this encounter with Jacob never triggered, and I don't know why. I remember the first time around, I met Jacob in the Silversun Strip and we played an arcade game together. I've beaten Mass Effect 3 twice now, and both times, I waited until Horizon was completed, so I could get Miranda to join the party at the apartment. I couldn't find this information anywhere, so I thought I should ask about it in the official forum.
